Lazy Biologist is built to be useful and respectful of your privacy. There are no user accounts and no logins. We do not sell or share data.
What we collect
Each time you click Generate Protocol, we log a small amount of anonymous metadata to help us understand which features are used and improve the tool:
- Timestamp of the generation.
- Protocol type selected from the dropdown (e.g. Organoids, IF, WB), if you chose one.
- Approximate input length — only the number of characters of your pasted text, never the text itself.
- Success or failure of the generation.
- Thumbs up / thumbs down if you click the feedback bar, plus your optional written comment if you submit one.
- Country derived from your browser language setting (e.g.
en-US→US). We do not use your IP address for geolocation.
What we never collect
- The actual content of the methods text you paste.
- The generated protocol text.
- Your name, email, IP address, or any account information.
- Cookies for tracking or advertising.
Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics (page views only). You can block it with any standard ad/tracker blocker without affecting the tool.
